About Me

Morning Light

I've been painting for as long as I can remember—starting with watercolors at my grandmother's kitchen table and growing into a lifelong conversation with color and form. My work draws deep inspiration from the natural world, particularly the bold, unapologetic beauty of flowers in bloom.

Each painting begins with observation. I spend time with my subjects— watching how light shifts across petals, noticing the subtle gradients where one color bleeds into another. Then I translate these observations onto canvas, often working wet-on-wet to capture the living, breathing quality of organic forms.

My palette tends toward the saturated: deep magentas, golden yellows, rich greens. I believe color has the power to evoke emotion, to transport viewers to a garden in full summer or a quiet moment at dawn. I want my paintings to be felt as much as seen.

Beyond florals, I explore figurative work and intimate watercolor studies—always returning to the interplay of light, color, and the emotional resonance of everyday beauty. My studio practice is a daily meditation, a way of staying present with the world.
